Karen Lansing
Director
Before being appointed executive director of Habitat for Humanity Idaho Falls Area, Karen Lansing had been involved with Habitat for Humanity on many different levels for over a dozen years. Her first experience was in San Diego, California helping on a “Blitz” remodel. Since then Karen has volunteered not only locally, but on builds in San Francisco, Miami and Phoenix. She has been a successful fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity Idaho Falls Area and has served several terms as a board member.
During the three decades Karen has lived, worked and played in the inter mountain west she has been active in numerous civic and professional organizations including planning and zoning, chamber of commerce, the Island Park quick response unit and local and state Realtor® associations. Karen was a founding member of the Southeast Idaho Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors®, serving as their 2005 local chapter president. Karen also has served on the board of the Yellowstone Business Partnership and continues to support this organization’s efforts for sustainable business development throughout the Yellowstone region.
